The 2015 'the gratitude' starts with a powerful nose of fresh raspberry, creme de cassis and a hint of toasty oak that springs from the glass. Once you bring the wine to your lips, it unfolds with dense red fruits, dried current, plush black cherry, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is voluptuous and velvety. True to the vintage, this is a deeply concentrated and complex wine, but the freshness helps balance the exceptional components seamlessly. It's grandeur is most prevalent on the long slow finish that lingers blissfully on and on. This juice is very approachable right now, but significant ripe tannins and a well structured backbone make this a 25 year wine if you are willing to wait.
