Our vision is to make world-class artisan wines from renowned California vineyards. We have a deep respect,  passion and love for the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and are grateful to work with the wonderful people that make up this amazing wine community.

This is a wine defined by texture, complexity, purity of fruit, and passion for getting it right. Damn, it is good. Colorful, dark legs cling to the glass while blackcurrant, chocolate raspberry, oak spice and graphite settle into the heady bouquet. Like a prelude to a beautiful symphony, this wine ascends with a silkiness you could wrap a baby in, cresting into a crescendo of plush black fruit, clove and red velvety flavors. All of which is supported by fine acid and polished tannins. It is like a blissful, harmonic piece of art that makes you feel sensational and fully content. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and barrel aged for 29 months in 100% new Taransaud and Darnajou French Oak. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. Only 300 cases produced.

The Gratitude

We are in love with this wine instantly from the inky, black pour. Kirk has delivered a classic “left bank” Bordeaux blend. Sweetly scented herbs, dried cherry, plum, hint of toffee, cassis and blackberry preserve aromas all lift seductively from the glass. The mouthfeel is velvety and the rich, dark fruit glides seamlessly from the front to back palate, carrying a finish that lasts well over a minute. This is an exquisite wine of subtle warmth, flesh, and great density. There is nothing short about this elixir and is a wonderful example of what great growing season Napa Valley produced in 2017. Comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot and barrel aged for 29 months in 90% new French Oak, bottled unfiltered and unfined. Drink from 2020 to 2038. Only 242 cases produced.

The Love

Oh, the sensuality of this wine! The impressive color sets the stage with a very deep garnet halo edge, and then with the first sip, this wine let’s you know right away it is a true stunner. With a combination of excellent 2018 vintage hangtime, balanced yields and a small employment of whole cluster fermentation, this Pinot Noir is one of profound beauty, silky, textured layers, and dare we say, seriousness.

The Bucher Vineyard lends aromatics of salt and sand, damp cave walls of a low tide, hints of ripe plum, cherry candle and the intoxicating incense of subtle, wet moss. As the wine evolves, a floral bouquet pronounced with pale violet works its way to the dark surface with each sip. The flood of flavor on the palate initially showcases black cherry, then builds to a crescendo of supporting fruit—fresh blackberry, ripe strawberry, zippy red currants, and then evocative earthy and savory characteristics: dried herb, anise, soy and milk chocolate. Moments like these are what truly excite Pinotphiles. Fermented with 100% native yeast and malolactic and aged in 40% new Francois Freres barriques. 350 cases bottled, unfiltered and unfined.

The Joy
This wonderfully flamboyant and delightful 100% Rosé of Pinot Noir is gorgeously akin to those that have come before it. Wearing the same beautiful veil of light salmon skin, this wine is simply wonderful. The nose begins with the refreshing smell of pink rose potpourri, Gardenia, and evolves into nuances of sliced grapefruit, fresh strawberry, and delicate cherry skins. The mouth is an explosive array of pink fireworks to the palate, offering a medley of fresh lemon and lime citrus candy, sour Bing cherry, tropical fruits and early red raspberry. The wine’s energy is instantly a summer party on the palate and perfect to inspire joy during warm summer afternoons and evenings ahead. Only 390 cases produced.

Our Winemaking Philosophy

We believe that meticulous farming and cultivation are essential to great winemaking. An overwhelming attention to detail is applied at every step of a vine’s life and throughout every growing season from beginning to end. Once the fruit is harvested, every element is afforded great care: selection, yeasts, crush, maturation, and cooperage, all of which are overseen with great passion. Our style of winemaking looks to find the greatest expressions of each varietal and vineyard. Special focus is given to deliver a perfect blending of balance, complexity and depth. Kirk Venge, a Napa native prodigy, has been the winemaker since 2014.
