Our vision is to make world class artisan wines from renowned vineyards in California. We have a deep respect, passion and love for the Napa and Sonoma Valleys and are grateful to work with the wonderful people that make up this amazing wine community.
This is a wine defined by texture, complexity, purity of fruit, and passion for getting it right. Damn, it is good. Colorful, dark legs cling to the glass while blackcurrant, chocolate raspberry, oak spice and graphite settle into the heady bouquet. Like a prelude to a beautiful symphony, this wine ascends with a silkiness you could wrap a baby in, cresting into a crescendo of plush black fruit, clove and red velvety flavors. All of which is supported by fine acid and polished tannins. It is like a blissful, harmonic piece of art that makes you feel sensational and fully content. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and barrel aged for 29 months in 100% new Taransaud and Darnajou French Oak. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. Only 300 cases produced.

We are in love with this wine instantly from the inky, black pour. Kirk has delivered a classic “left bank” Bordeaux blend. Sweetly scented herbs, dried cherry, plum, hint of toffee, cassis and blackberry preserve aromas all lift seductively from the glass. The mouthfeel is velvety and the rich, dark fruit glides seamlessly from the front to back palate, carrying a finish that lasts well over a minute. This is an exquisite wine of subtle warmth, flesh, and great density. There is nothing short about this elixir and is a wonderful example of what great growing season Napa Valley produced in 2017. Comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot and barrel aged for 29 months in 90% new French Oak, bottled unfiltered and unfined. Drink from 2020 to 2038. Only 242 cases produced.

Once again, Kirk Venge has delivered a showstopper! Lovers of this incredible wine may remember it as being sourced from the premium Dutton Ranch Jewell Vineyard in the Green Valley sub-appellation of the Russian River Valley. That is still the case, but for this vintage, we added another one of Dutton’s coveted vineyards, Campbell Ranch, which is just a stone’s throw from Jewell. Though vinified separately, their union is profound and both wines were picked early to ensure freshness. Jewell is citrusy and floral, with tight acidity, while Campbell brings light, Pink Lady apple skin and cherry Chapstick aromas. The light salmon color is a gorgeous hue, and as if on cue for summer, the tropical nuance of lycheé and guava and a light kiss of watermelon delight the palate.
As always, there is an underlying weight to this wine which lends to a truly sophisticated mouthfeel. We suggest this wine be served chilled, and as it warms and opens, you will enjoy an abundance of aromatic layers and exciting flavors.
After a year of intentional bottle-aging before its release, we are blown away by the 2017 Pinot Noir! The improvement of wine during cellaring is a beautiful thing to experience and whenever we can choose to release a wine with age it is always tremendously satisfying. We've learned that greatness often means patience.
This wine comes from two special blocks of hillside fruit from the Bucher Vineyard, located on Sonoma County's heralded Westside Road in the northern part of the Russian River Valley Appellation. It is made in the gentlest way possible, using only gravity flow winemaking techniques and 100% indigenous yeast and malolactic fermentation.
This vintage of 'the love' shimmers dark red in the glass with a racy aromas of black fruit and freshly cut raspberries. The mouthfeel is textured, and despite the nature of its youth, has a lengthy profile that finishes with beautiful fine tannins. It possesses an old-world rusticity we absolutely adore, and we cannot wait to see this wine progress over the next 5 years and beyond. The 2017 Pinot Noir was aged 16 months in 40% new Francois Frères Oak barriques and was bottled direct, unfiltered and unfined.
