In its second release, the 2013 Promise Pinot Noir "the love" is a complex array of fresh red fruit, with a lively and explosive dialogue. Only 296 cases were produced. There are notes of bright raspberry, ripe strawberry basket and a stunning, oak, vanillin undertone. 100% of its fruit comes from the distinguished Bucher Vineyards in Russian River Valley and it has been aged in 40% new Francois Freres French Oak for 15 months.

The wine is showing subtle spiciness with a rich, earthy flesh that reflects sophisticated Pinots. The mouthfeel is generous, balancing acidity with a smooth, rich middle palate and carrying a delicious finish. The tannins are very supple and round, making this an incredibly approachable Pinot Noir from its release, and if cellared correctly, will drink well until 2025 and beyond.
