2017 'the gratitude' (TESTING ONLY)
We are in love with this wine instantly from the inky, black pour. Kirk has delivered a classic “left bank” Bordeaux blend. Sweetly scented herbs, dried cherry, plum, hint of toffee, cassis and blackberry preserve aromas all lift seductively from the glass. The mouthfeel is velvety and the rich, dark fruit glides seamlessly from the front to back palate, carrying a finish that lasts well over a minute. This is an exquisite wine of subtle warmth, flesh, and great density. There is nothing short about this elixir and is a wonderful example of what great growing season Napa Valley produced in 2017. Comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot and barrel aged for 29 months in 90% new French Oak, bottled unfiltered and unfined. Drink from 2020 to 2038. Only 242 cases produced.
